Suan Goh

Co-founder & Creative Director
CtrlD Studio
Suan is the co-founder and creative director of CtrlD Studio (pronounced control-dee), a Malaysian indie game development studio with roots in the creative tech sector. She co-founded the studio after graduating in 2019 with an award-winning student game, focusing on interactive design projects for a few years before taking the leap to develop the studio’s first commercial game title— Overhours; and becoming the first Sarawakian indie studio to be inducted into the Microsoft XBOX Developer Acceleration Program. She also spearheads the Sarawak Game Developers Community (SwkGDC), a community group founded in 2022 acting as a hub to connect game developers in the East Malaysian state and to foster awareness of game development locally. The group has been able to establish an annual flagship event, the SwkGDC Game Jam, now one of the biggest and most sought-after game jams in the state. Since founding the studio, Suan has attended events and panels as a mentor, speaker, and host; to share her experiences and learnings in indie game development, creative leadership, and community building.
