Honourable Dato Sri Haji Julaihi Bin Haji Narawi was born on 13 April 1955. Prior to pursuing his studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1975, the alumni received his early education in several government-owned schools in Sarawak. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (With Honours) in Social Sciences and Humanities in 1979 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He was appointed as Deputy Minister of Sarawak in various Ministries starting from the year 2011 holding a few portfolios before being appointed as a full minister to the present ministry . He was the Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Industry and Investment Sarawak, Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Rural Development Sarawak, Deputy Minister of Coastal Economy at the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development Sarawak, Deputy Minister of Sarawak Coastal Roads at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Sarawak specifically to undertake the development of Sarawak Coastal Road and Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sarawak Port Development. After winning the Sarawak state election in December 2021, he assumed a new responsibility when appointed by YAB PREMIER SARAWAK as a new full Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak at the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak ( MUT ) until now.The change of name of the ministry to MUT was to give a “”new breath”” to the ministry’s responsibilities.
