Student
Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School Petra Jaya
I am Kimberly Wong Meng Li, a Year 10 student from Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia. I am currently studying at Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School, a boarding school in Kuching. As a Sarawakian Chinese student, I have grown up surrounded by the diverse cultures and natural environment of Borneo, which has shaped many of my interests.
I have always enjoyed science and learning about the world around me, particularly the things that make life and nature so interesting. Outside academics, swimming is one of my main interests and a sport that I have been involved in for several years.
I also have a strong interest in speaking, debating, and communicating ideas. I enjoy taking an idea, looking at it from different perspectives, and finding ways to articulate it clearly to others. To me, speaking is not just about presenting an argument, but about exchanging ideas, questioning assumptions, and understanding how other people think.
I enjoy being involved in activities that allow me to learn, communicate, and challenge myself, and I hope to continue exploring different fields while developing both my scientific curiosity and my ability to connect ideas with people.
