Anthony Ng Mun Sun is the Chief Executive Officer of MIT Academy, an educational innovator, and an international project director specializing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), STEM education, and Industry 4.0 digital transformation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire and a Professional Certificate in Digital Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Over a career spanning more than two decades, Anthony has pioneered major educational initiatives. He founded MIT Academy in 2004 and established the first private technical college under Malaysia’s Ministry of Education to offer the 4-year Diploma Vocational Malaysia. In 2019, he launched MITstem International School, which delivers a STEM-focused Cambridge curriculum accredited by STEM.org.
As an international TVET authority, Anthony has led strategic cross-border collaborations. He served as an implementer for ASEAN TVET Training and Certification under the ASEAN Pathfinder Project and partnered with Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to deliver technical training. Currently, he serves as Project Director for major international development initiatives, including Tajikistan’s STEM Secondary Education Project (2024–2030) and Cambodia’s Skills for Future Economy Program (2024–2029). A champion of smart automation, Anthony has established strategic training partnerships with global industrial leaders, including Bosch Rexroth, FANUC, Omron, SMC Pneumatics, and Mazak. He has directed numerous high-impact national programs in Malaysia, such as the National Dual Training System, SOCSO Employment Insurance Scheme training, Smart Automation Grant projects, and HRD Corp upskilling initiatives. Anthony is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist on TVET 4.0, robotics, and human capital development. He has represented Malaysia at major international stages, including Worlddidac Asia, the Web Summit in Lisbon, and the Mechatronic & Robotic Society of the Philippines Conference.
