She commands the prime-time news in both English (TVS Nightline) and Bahasa Malaysia (UTAMA 740), delivering global and local news, one headline at a time. Beyond reporting, she hosts key programmes like Dialog TVS, engaging prominent political figures, as well as the economic show “Decimal Point.” On “Decimal Point,” Cheryl steps into the role of sole host, beyond reporting to shape the economic conversation. In this dedicated programme, she discusses complex market trends, investment landscapes, and policy impacts into clear, forward-looking perspectives, establishing herself not only as a presenter, but as a key facilitator of Sarawak’s business future. Her expertise is nationally recognized from co-hosting the Malaysian and Sarawak State Budgets for years.
As a moderator, she guides high-level dialogues for forums like the United Nations Global Literacy Dialogue and the Sarawak Media Conference in attendance of the Premier of Sarawak. A sought-after versatile emcee, she confidently hosts major events, her recent appearances include the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Meeting 2025 and as a seasonal Master of Ceremonies at the ASEAN International Film Festival Awards to leading international policy panels such as the South East Asia Digital Transformation Summit, where in this role, she conducted panel sessions with Congressman Uy, a Former Member of the Philippines House of Representatives. Throughout her tenure as a journalist, she covered diverse stories, including the 12th Sarawak State Election and the 15th Malaysian General Election (GE15). When not delivering the news, Cheryl remains an active alumna of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), leading workshops and mentoring students, having recently awarded as its National Alumni Ambassador for UNIMAS (2025) , bridging her influence in education.
