Dr Nurul Hidayah Shabdin is the Research Analyst of MIGHT, Malaysia’s premier public-private think tank under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). As a Town Planner, she has been instrumental in shaping Malaysian cities towards smart and sustainable ecosystem through policy innovation, strategic advisory, and industry-driven transformation. She has extensive 15 years of experience working in area of urban and regional planning, waste management, sustainable development technology and strategic document development at the federal, state and local levels. She also contributed as industry advisor panel for universities and represent at National Steering Committee and Technical Committee for Malaysia Smart City Standards. In her current role, she leads initiatives that promote smart, sustainable, and climate-resilient urban transformation across Malaysian cities reflecting her multidisciplinary knowledge, leadership and advocates for research, innovation and sustainable development.
