Edwin Gerunsin Laja is the Operations Manager of the Sarawak Business Angel Network (SBAN), where he supports the development of Sarawak’s angel investment and startup ecosystem through programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, investor outreach, and ecosystem-building initiatives. In his role, Edwin works closely with public and private sector partners, business leaders, founders, mentors, and ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen investor awareness, founder readiness, and structured collaboration within Sarawak’s startup landscape. Prior to SBAN, Edwin served with the Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA), where he was exposed to community development, graduate engagement, and professional network-building. He was also involved in entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem work through Invent Space, supporting programmes, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. His work focuses on building practical connections between investors, startups, mentors, and ecosystem partners to support the long-term growth of Sarawak’s innovation economy.
