Chairwoman, Infocom Federation Brunei/Bimp-Eaga Digital Allaiance
Infocom Federation Brunei
Pengiran Sarimah Pg Hj Abd Latiff has had the privilege of working in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector for more than two decades. She began her career as a programmer and spent eleven years in program development with the Government of Brunei Darussalam. She later moved into business development in the telecommunications industry. She is grateful that this varied experience across the public and private sectors has helped her develop both technical understanding and business insight. She currently serves as Chairman of the InfoCom Federation of Brunei Darussalam (IFB), where she works alongside others to support the nation’s digital advancement. She has also been given opportunities to contribute in regional and international ICT spaces, including as Chief Judge of APICTA 2024 and as a Judge and Head Judge for the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards since 2008. She serves as Chairwoman of the BIMP-EAGA Digital Alliance and as Brunei Representative for the ASEAN CIO Forum. At the national level, she hopes to contribute to Brunei’s digital transformation through her role on the Industry Advisory Board of Brunei Smart Nation and as a judge for national awards such as Anugerah Innovasi Pardana. She values opportunities to support future talent, having served as a judge for Technovation Girls and the ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA), and as a coach and mentor for Brunei’s participants in international competitions. Beyond ICT, she is President and Co-Founder of SUHBE Co., a Board of Trustees member of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, and founder of the BIMP-EAGA Women Leaders Café. She recognises that these roles are possible only through the support and collaboration of many others. She remains truly grateful for the chance to learn, serve, and work with others in building a more inclusive digital future for Brunei Darussalam and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Panel: From BIMP EAGA to Broader ASEAN — Scaling Beyond Borders
Startup Village
As Southeast Asia’s digital economy rapidly evolves beyond tier-one capital cities, sub-regional trade corridors are emerging as critical engines for cross-border innovation. The Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) offers a uniquely interconnected sandbox, combining shared cultural affinities, contiguous supply chains, and aligned economic priorities, making it an ideal testing ground for early, and growth-stage ventures. This panel convenes ecosystem leaders, venture capitalists, policy advisors, and cross-border founders to address how startups can strategically position BIMP-EAGA not just as a local destination, but as a high-velocity launchpad for scaling across the broader $3.6T ASEAN market.
