Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi bin Abdul Ghani is a distinguished former Sarawak civil servant with over 31 years of experience in public service, including a decade as State Secretary from 2009 to 2019. Before joining the Sarawak Government in 1988, he spent eight years at Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). Throughout his public service career, Tan Sri Morshidi played a key role in advancing human capital development and driving Sarawak’s digital transformation, contributing significantly to the region’s progress. At present, he is the Chairman of several key institutions including the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS), Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS), and Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS). In addition, he is a Board Member of Sarawak Energy Berhad and was recently appointed in April 2026 as the Chairman of Zecon Berhad, an engineering and construction solutions provider.
